The Orton-Gillingham approach, in plain words
Orton-Gillingham is a structured, step by step, multisensory way of teaching reading. Children see a sound, say it, hear it and trace it, so every pathway into the brain is working together. Each new skill builds on the one before it, in a carefully proven sequence, so children experience success at every step.
It was originally developed to help children who find reading difficult, and it has since become one of the most respected reading approaches in the world. Our founder completed a 64 hour Orton-Gillingham certification in phonics and orthography, and this training shapes how reading is taught in every RightKids classroom.

RightKids exists because of what Madhavi learned raising her own children: concepts offered the right brain way are absorbed with joy, and the methods behind them are backed by science. She is an Orton-Gillingham trained reading specialist, a B.Ed graduate, an MBA, and a mother of two.
