Our Programmes

A playschool for all age groups, from 18 months to 6 years

RightKids runs four programmes: Sprouts, Buds, Blooms and Blossoms. Each has its own curriculum, environment and milestones, and all four develop the same eight domains together: language & literacy, mathematics, physical development, creative arts, social & emotional skills, life skills & habits, science & nature, and culture & values.

Wherever your child is right now, there is a programme built for exactly that stage.

Flash cards at every stage

Across all four programmes, children enjoy short, playful flash card sessions every day, following the method pioneered by Glenn Doman and practised worldwide by right brain programmes such as TweedleWink. Whole word reading cards, math dot cards and encyclopedic picture cards of animals, plants, places and art feed young memories at their absorbent peak. Sessions are quick, joyful and always end while children still want more.

Sprouts, where it all begins

18 months to 2.5 years

The Sprouts years are about trust, language and the senses. Your child is learning that the world is safe, that words have power, and that learning feels like play, because at this age, it is.

What Sprouts children experience:

First words, everywhere. We name everything, sing everything, read everything. Children build their first vocabulary through songs, picture books and real objects: colours, body parts, family words, action words.

First flash card sessions. Gentle daily sessions of whole word cards, picture cards and early number cards, introducing reading, math and knowledge of the world in the most natural way possible.

Hands that get busy. Stacking blocks, threading big beads, pouring water, squishing playdough. This fine motor work quietly prepares little hands for everything to come.

Bodies that move. Running, climbing, kicking, balancing. Gross motor play happens every single day, because movement is how toddlers think.

First friendships. Playing alongside other children, learning “my turn, your turn,” and discovering that a teacher is a safe, warm person to run to.

First independence. Washing hands with help, sitting for snack, putting shoes in the cubby. Small habits build a proud, capable child.

Wonder about the world. Watching the weather, watering a bean sprout, splashing, digging. Early science arrives through the senses.

By the end of Sprouts, most children are speaking in short sentences, counting their first objects, and, most importantly, walking in happy.

Buds, the language explosion

2.5 to 3.5 years

Something remarkable happens between 2.5 and 3.5: vocabulary explodes, questions never stop, and children begin to see themselves as learners. Buds is built to feed that fire.

What Buds children experience:

Hundreds of new words. Describing words, question words, full sentences. We build spoken language deliberately, through stories, conversation and play.

Flash cards every day. Whole word reading cards, math dot cards and encyclopedic picture cards, in quick joyful sessions that children look forward to.

The first sounds of reading. Children meet their first letter sounds, learn to hear rhymes, clap syllables and recognise their own name in print. These are the true foundations of reading, laid gently and joyfully.

Pre-writing, the right way. Lines, circles and crosses before letters, and correct pencil grip from the very start.

Numbers that mean something. Counting real objects to ten, spotting patterns, naming shapes, comparing longer and shorter. Maths begins as a hands on game.

Growing independence. Cutting with scissors, using a fork, folding paper, managing the toilet routine. Practical life skills are taught step by step.

Manners and kindness. Please and thank you, greeting and listening, waiting a turn. Teachers model these all day, every day.

By the end of Buds, most children know their first letter sounds, speak in confident full sentences, and handle daily routines with real independence.

Blooms, reading begins

3.5 to 4.5 years

This is the year reading starts to click. Blooms children move from hearing sounds to blending them into words, using a structured phonics sequence trusted by reading specialists worldwide and shaped by our Orton-Gillingham certified founder.

What Blooms children experience:

Real reading, step by step. Letter sounds are taught in a proven order so children can blend real words almost immediately. Early success makes children love reading.

Flash cards, growing richer. Sight words learned the right brain way as whole images, math dot cards, and encyclopedic cards that build general knowledge of animals, geography, art and more.

Writing that means something. First name written independently, first words from memory, first sentences with invented spelling, always celebrated.

Maths that makes sense. Counting to 30, first addition and subtraction with real objects, patterns, shapes, measuring with hand spans and footsteps, and reading their first pictograph.

A scientist's curiosity. A hands on experiment every week: sink or float, growing seeds, shadows and magnets, plus a nature journal and a garden patch.

Art with real artists. Colour mixing, texture, self portraits, and a child friendly artist study each month, from Eric Carle to India's own Madhubani and Warli traditions.

Movement, dance and calm. Daily brain gym, child friendly exercise, dance and outdoor play build strong bodies and settled minds.

Big feelings, handled well. Children build a real emotion vocabulary and a toolbox of calming strategies: belly breathing, counting to ten, using words. They learn to resolve conflicts with each other, step by step.

By the end of Blooms, most children are blending and reading simple words, writing their name, and solving their first real maths problems, proud of every bit of it.

Blossoms, ready for the world

4.5 to 6 years

Blossoms is where everything comes together: independent reading, confident writing, real maths, and the self regulation to thrive in primary school. Children leave Blossoms ready to learn anywhere.

What Blossoms children experience:

Reading, for real. The complete phonics picture: all 44 sounds of English, digraphs, word families and spelling patterns, until children read simple books entirely on their own, typically by age 5 to 6.

Comprehension, deeply built. Predicting, questioning, retelling, imagining. Children learn to think about what they read.

Flash cards for a growing mind. Vocabulary, math and encyclopedic knowledge cards continue, keeping the right brain pathway active as analytical skills grow alongside.

Writing with a voice. Full sentences, then short paragraphs: a favourite day, an imaginary pet, how to make a sandwich, with capital letters and full stops making their first appearance.

Confident maths. Counting to 100, skip counting, place value, addition and subtraction to 20, first word problems, and fractions cut from a real apple.

Emotional maturity. By now, RightKids children can name what they feel, calm themselves, and solve most conflicts with words. Their future teachers will notice immediately.

True school readiness. Focus, independence, curiosity and confidence make the move to primary school an adventure.

By the end of Blossoms, your child reads independently, writes a short paragraph, works with numbers to 100, and walks into primary school knowing they are a capable learner.

How we track progress

Every child has a portfolio: art samples, writing samples, photos, teacher observations and a milestone tracker across all eight domains, shared with you through the RightKids app and discussed together at termly parent meetings. There are no marks and no tests. We compare each child to only one person: who they were last term.
